Are You Turned Up?

Yes! The weekend is near. You’ve worked hard all week. You’re making plans to hang out with friends and family. The paycheck is in the account and now it’s time for the turn up, but what is your definition of turning up? Most of us think about drinking, partying, and going out with friends when we think about turning up and though these things are not bad, we have to know when to turn up and when to cool down.

Believe or not most of us are turned up every day. We drink every day or smoke our herb every day. We party three times out the week or hang out with friends and co-workers after work and we are not truly taking care of our responsibilities. Most of us are living from pay check to pay check and turning up at the wrong time. Most activities we are engaged in is due to be being stressed out about money. We worry about not having enough, paying this bill and that bill, and buying things for the children. It’s simply not enough to go around, but yet we still choose to turn it up.

Today let’s make a commitment to turn up when the time is right. Paying bills and working a full week is not an excuse to turn up. It’s called your daily responsibilities. Paying a bill on time is not a reason to turn up-that’s called being responsible. Think about something that you truly desire and have been waiting on for some time. Maybe it’s something you need to save for or a project you’ve never started or didn’t complete. Maybe there’s a class or a test you need to take to get the job you want or get that recognition you’re looking for at the workplace.

Whatever it is, stop procrastinating and get down to business! When you have accomplished these things, this is the time to turn up and believe it or not your idea of a turn up will be completely different from your past beliefs. You will begin to see life from a different perspective and eager to make your next big move. We all have work to do, so let’s get our priorities together and become a better version of ourselves.

Be Blessed and Inspired!
