Santa Muerte and the Creator- The Relationship

God the Creator and Santa Muerte (Death) has always been a part of our lives whether we acknowledge them or not. They watch over us protecting and guiding us in our physical lives from the spiritual realm. God created the Earth and he is in charge of our souls and our physical bodies. He controls life and death, he creates and destroys. Santa Muerte deals with life and life after death, so together they are our spiritual parents.
We shouldn’t fear Santa Muerte the same way you shouldn’t fear God. Both are not to be played with, but when you worship the two together the results are magical. God is the masculine energy and Santa Muerte is the feminine energy. Dealing with these two, the God and the Goddess, there is really no need to entertain other deities. She controls the underworld, the spiritual realm so any other deity you are working with is under her. It’s like the other deities are second in command.
When you communicate with the Creator you are coming into an understanding of life, however when you deal with Santa Muerte you are gaining a respect and understanding for Death. They go hand and hand. The Creator is the only God and Santa Muerte is the only Goddess. Everyone else is just under them and was approved to help others in the form of Spirit. Some may feel afraid to work with her because of the feedback they received from others, but like anything else your intentions must be good.
Anyone who is a positive influence in your life and has contributed to your prayers deserves to be honored and respected. They are your spiritual parents and they want what’s best for you. Santa Muerte is your spiritual mother. She is not as strict as your Father God, so she is more prone to give you what you want. She will warn you, if your desires and wants are not good for you, however, the choice is yours.
Spirituality is not as complicated as some people may make it. Knowing the names of different deities doesn’t make you more knowledgeable but actually makes you more confused. Follow your own blueprint and the allow Spirit to guide you.
