I was having a discussion with my father about a business he wanted to start and he was so excited about it. He gave me details on how it would operate and his motives behind the ideas, but once I asked what he was doing to get this idea in motion-there was a pause. How often do we push the pause button on our dreams due a belief that others have placed upon us? We have been brainwashed to believe that things have to happen in a certain manner in order for it to work and be successful. Though, we have heard the success stories of those who didn’t attend college and those whose families were poor, we still believe we need money or need to walk a certain path to achieve our goals.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there are certain businesses that require you to have money, but there are things you can do in between time to help you reach your goals.
Make a business plan. A business plan is a plan for your business. Who is your target audience? What’s the age range? How will they benefit from your services? What are you selling? Just the ideas you have about your business.
Start a website. Websites are free and you can design it yourself. There are many options for someone who is on a budget. Pick one that best fits your needs and economic situation. Your website is the home where people visit to see what you’re all about it. No one will take your business seriously, if you don’t have a website or some source they can check online about your services.
Research. Take the time to research what kind of business you are going into and the things needed for that particular business. Sometimes we don’t have enough information about what it is we are trying to do. This will give you an idea on what’s needed and how much it will cost.

Blog. Speak about your services and the motives behind them. People will check out your website if they agree with your point of view. This will also allow you the opportunity to link up with other people who shares your views or who have more to add to the table.
Social Media. Use it, it’s your friend. Take advantage of Facebook and Instagram to connect with people regarding your business. Facebook is great with allowing you to join groups that share your interest. What better way to share your thoughts and talents! And you may find investors, who are willing to help you fund your dreams.
Check out the Competition. In order to know where you’re going, you have to know what you’re up against. What business is providing your same services? What can you provide that they don’t, so your business can stand out from the rest? Follow their blueprint, so you can have the basics and some ideas on how to get things started.
Meditate. In order for your dreams to manifest, you must see it in your mind and believe you can do it! Take time to meditate to bring your thoughts to life. Pray and give thanks to the Creator cause your dreams are about to come true.
