Are you spiritual or religious? Many people place themselves in the category of being spiritual, but I am starting to realize that many of us really don’t understand what it is to be a spiritualist. Spiritualist are people who work and communicate with spirits. They believe in a higher power and other universal forces that help guide them and others on this physical realm.
Religion is something that was passed down to us from generation to generation and unfortunately it was a lie. Some people find it very difficult to let go of the deceit that has been taught to us, but if we truly take the time to open our minds, we will see that our true religion lies within us. Your spirit tells you what’s right and what’s wrong through your intuition- not a book.
The Bible was designed by our oppressors to keep us in line and in fear of God and the government. The Bible’s text was stolen from Egyptian literature and many texts were removed to keep us away from our power within. The writers of the Bible want you to believe that you were born in sin, and we as “Black” people were born into slavery and this is not the truth. It is designed to keep you from reaching the Creator directly and going through other organizations like church to seek the spiritual guidance you’re looking for.
Spirituality was born in ancient Kemet. It came from our ancestors and was practiced since the beginning of time. Europeans learned how to communicate with the spirits through our practices and beliefs which has led them to the higher position they are in today. Spirituality teaches, you are in control of your destiny and you hold the keys to your life. There is no man in the sky bringing judgment to you, you bring judgment to yourself based on your actions.
The Creator works through all of us and I am not saying to go and throw away your Bible, however I am asking you to take the meat and spit out the bones. The spiritual messages are still there but you have to learn how to decode them to get the true meaning. You must read other materials to gain a better understanding of the Bible and its messages. Don’t use it as your only resource of information. Some people may say, “The Bible is all I need”, and this is foolishness and ignorance. Don’t limit our God to one book.
The Creator powers and miracles go way beyond the Bible. Open a book and open your mind, so that the Most High, our Creator, our God can make his presence and essence known to you!
