Death and Spirits…Let’s talk about it!

Death is a topic that most people don’t like to discuss, but it is a subject that must be explored because it is something we all must face. In spirituality, you are dealing with the dead. You are reaching out and praying to entities who are no longer here on the physical realm. Angels, ancestors, the Creator are entities and spirits that are not of this world, so communicating with them is communicating with the dead.

Christians worship Jesus and Jesus is also deceased. Jesus is represented by the Holy Spirit, so if you are not afraid to reach out to him, you shouldn’t be afraid to communicate to anyone else who has passed away. We need to open our minds and stop thinking everything we don’t understand is wrong. Free your mind of the lies you were taught and think about things from a realistic point of view.

Death is viewed as such a negative thing, when it is truly a time of celebration of a person’s transition. One person said to me, “I celebrate Jesus not the dead,” but Jesus is dead and the Bible tells you so. Why is it easy to celebrate someone you don’t know oppose to the people who actually played a part in your life? Why is it a bad thing to take a day to acknowledge those who have passed away and give honor to their name and their life?

Death is a part of life and the beginning to a new chapter in your journey. Death is not to feared nor is it negative. People pass away and we keep their pictures and items to honor their memory. The dead are spirits who use to be people on this physical realm and who should not be forgotten just because they no longer seen. Take time to speak to your ancestors and reach out to your spirit guides and hopefully when you die someone will reach out to you!
