Are Spiritual Practices or Rituals Evil?

Our spiritual practices started in ancient times in ancient Africa. Spiritual practices were passed down from generation to generation. Our ancestors hold the key to knowledge to help guide us in our present lives. The only way to communicate to them and other divine entities is through practice. Practice is meditating and becoming one with the Creator. It’s applying different objects and materials to symbolize different messages you’re sending out into the universe.

Your altar is your sacred place of entering the spiritual realm. It’s like your channel of communication to the divine. Many Catholic churches use the altar. The altar is mentioned several times in regards to worship in the Bible and that is because of its importance and relevancy. The Catholics adopted this sacred practice from our ancestors. They understood the importance of symbolism and displayed it all throughout the church.

Our ancient knowledge was stolen and replaced with the Bible. We were taught Christianity and taught our ancient practices are evil while our oppressors use this knowledge and power against us. Rituals are simply practicing your magic consistently. It’s your particular way of preparing things. It’s your particular way of practice. Some rituals are passed down from family or spiritual teachers and others are created. When you attend church, the songs you sing, the scriptures you recite, taking communion is all part of a ritual.

Regardless to whether you are religious or spiritual, everything lies in you intentions. If you enter anything with good intentions, the truth will shine through. If your intentions are love and self improvement, how could that be evil? We have to stop being judgmental against things we don’t understand and open our minds and hearts to learn more about our divine ancestry.
