Dream to Inspire

Are you pursuing your dreams? In the colored community most of us are told to go to school, get an education so you can get a good job when you’re an adult. We were taught that good grades and college degrees were the only way to secure a profitable future and this information was far from the truth.

An education is important however it is not the only way to pursue your goals. God has plans for you and the Creator has already placed a gift inside of you to pursue your life’s purpose. What are you most passionate about? What are your talents? These gifts were given to you by the Most High and you must use them wisely. Our dreams start off as nothing but seeds. Seeds do not develop unless they are placed in soil and nurtured. Your soil represents your plans. How you attend to reach your goals?

Once you have discovered your talents, it’s important you think about how you plan to use them. For example if you enjoy to write. Use this talent to uplift your people or to educate them about themselves by writing books or articles. If you have a talent of public speaking or speaking in general, use your voice to inspire and protect your fellow brothers and sisters. A singer can use their talent to sing songs about the Creator’s glory or sing songs to fight against oppression or about love for your fellow-man.

My point is our gifts are meant to change the world and make it a better place and to help our people love and care for one another as the Messiah loves us. When you think about what it is you would like to do with your life ask yourself, how will this help the people in my community? Am I inspiring or tearing down the mind of my followers? Am I planting good seeds to protect the minds of our people and children or bad seeds that will destruct and destroy their minds?

We must take responsibility for our actions and we must take advantage of our God-given talents so we can make changes in our lives and in the lives of others. Don’t worry about money and fame because they will not get you in the kingdom of God. Focus on righteousness and love and our Creator will always make sure our needs are met.
